Joint maritime patrols by Italy, Libya

Italy says it’s signed an agreement with Libya for joint maritime patrols to deter would-be immigrants from Africa who frequently try to reach Europe. Under an agreement signed in Tripoli, six Italian coastguard vessels are to be lent to Libya.
